Story
Summary
Millions of people in Ukraine are caught in an escalating military conflict and in growing need of urgent humanitarian assistance. Your donation to this fund will support affected communities in Ukraine, with a focus on the most vulnerable, including children, who need access to education, food, medical services, and psychosocial support.
Challenge
An estimated 3.4 million people need humanitarian assistance in eastern Ukraine, and a large-scale military invasion of Ukraine would deepen the crisis, likely forcing millions from their homes. Thousands of civilians have already been killed and injured in eight-years of armed conflict in Ukraine, with some 1.5 million forcibly displaced from their destroyed homes. The COVID-19 pandemic is an added challenge for communities where violence and uncertainty takes a heavy toll.
Solution
All donations to the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund will support humanitarian assistance in impacted communities in Ukraine and surrounding regions where Ukrainian refugees have fled. GlobalGiving's local partners in Ukraine are bringing relief to displaced families and people in high-risk areas, and they need resources to continue and expand their vital work.
