Let's get silly and spread some Christmas cheer with our Ugly Christmas Jumper Day! Traditionally the third Friday of December, but hey, make it whatever day you want. This day is all about bonding across generations and remembering the true spirit of Christmas. We want to see your cheesiest, itchiest, and most outrageous Christmas jumpers as we come together for some good old-fashioned fun. Let's sing carols, decorate trees, dance to Christmas music, chug eggnog, and of course, gobble up a tub of celebrations. We're bringing the magic of Christmas to life in one unforgettable day, all while raising funds for Open Door. So, let's make some memories, share some laughs, and spread kindness, connection, and generosity. Because that's what the season is all about.

Open Door relies on support from the local community to support the Night Shelter and our Winter Beds Project. The Winter Beds Project was set up to ensure nobody sleeps rough in severe weather. The Project runs from December - April each year alongside the night shelter that is open all year round. In addition to the 12 individuals we support each night at the Night Shelter, we can accommodate an additional 5 at our Winter Beds Project. Ensuring anyone that needs a bed can have one. Individuals work with the Outreach team - who help and encourage them to fing long-term solutions to their housing problems. Last year, we supported 22 individuals at the Winter Beds Project and we were open for 160 nights.
