Building a World with Essential Infrastructure for All
Across the globe, billions of people still live without safe access to clean water, sanitation, hygiene, education, healthcare, markets, and more. Engineers in Action partners with communities to change that - building the essential infrastructure that connects families to opportunity and protects health for generations to come.
Our university chapter is proud to be part of that mission. Together with students and professionals around the world, we design and build bridges and WASH systems that transform daily life for communities in Bolivia, Eswatini, Ecuador, Peru and beyond. Through this work, we gain hands-on experience, learn from our partner communities, and see the direct impact engineering can have on people’s lives.
Watch the highlight video below to see what that impact looks like - from students and professionals working hand in hand with communities to families crossing their new bridges and turning on clean water for the first time.
Help Us Build Our Next Projects
This year, our team is fundraising to help bring two parallel life-changing projects to life - a new pedestrian footbridge in the Aguas Calientes community of Peru, and a WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) system for the Alta Mira region of Bolivia.
Our student volunteers will be travelling for between four and nine weeks to make these projects a reality, striving to improve the lives of over 500 community members across both project locations.
Every dollar goes directly toward materials, logistics, and the support needed to make it possible.
Give what you can or rally friends. Every donation builds connection, health, and hope.
