Story

After yet another great ride last year, on 28th September we're off again in Dorset and raising funds for The Yolanda Moore Foundation (TYMF) to make a difference to young people. Cycling 80kms up and down hill, across the water (well, on a ferry for that bit!!!) and along the sea front, we'll challenge ourselves so that we can help talented young people do amazing things to develop themselves and contribute to communities here in the UK and abroad.

We've helped some amazing young people in a huge variety of ways. Some we've helped provide much needed equipment for university. We've sponsored some to attend sporting events and develop their talent and expertise. Children in New Zealand have been able to ski at a time when funds are really stretched for both lessons and equipment.

We have been particularly pleased to support some hugely talented young people get involved in internships both here and abroad where they have supported environmental projects, develop nursing skills in some of the world's poorest areas and we've enabled some to attend internships here in the UK.

And we are so very keen to keep doing this great work. Your donations make it possible and EVERY single penny you donate (or raise!!!) goes directly to a really deserving young person (any administration costs or expenses are covered privately).

If you fancy a great day out on your bike in a beautiful part of the country, come join us and help us raise even more! If the idea of riding that far makes you feel a bit sick, then please, we'd be very grateful for your donation - and so would our young people@

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The Yolanda Moore Foundation supports ambitious young people aged 15 – 24 from London, Dorset, Hampshire and Otago (New Zealand) with funding, mentoring and practical help. Inspired by the life and passions of Yolanda Moore, we seek to carry on her ambition to inspire young people to pursue their passions. We particularly seek to help disadvantaged ambitious young people who do not have the opportunities and support that Yolanda did. Whether needing help to pursue a course, begin an internship, get a flight to your next sports tournament or get a new suit for an interview, we’re here to help. We also seek to help young people who are passionate about helping others and make the world a better place, we provide support for them to travel and pursue voluntary experiences. We provide three main kinds of funding: Vocational or Educational support – This refers to funding short course fees, funding travel to a course, funding an Internship (including travel). Funding to support others – This refers to funding travel to aid a voluntary/charitable experience, supporting you whilst completing a voluntary/charitable experience. Funding for personal support or development – This refers to funding for sporting activities, musical pursuits, including travel & equipment. We don’t fund subsistence, university fees or living expenses – we want to support you with the things that can be seen as “extra” but will make all the difference to you moving forward with your life.
