Our goal is to generate awareness and raise funds in order to provide assistance to Victory Child Care Project Ty Cariad, a government-approved children's home in Uganda. Together, we strive to aid orphans and vulnerable children, such as Israel, Kevin, Desmond, and David.

We are proud of our close relationships with our partners, who are comprised of local professionals. With their help, each child receives a customised assessment and their individual needs are met, regardless of their background. Our partners prioritise family-based care whenever possible and actively work to reconnect children with their families and extended communities if deemed beneficial for the child. Through our efforts, local individuals are empowered to deliver high-quality service, which has earned recognition at government level.

During 2019:-

14 children were admitted to the Childrens Home;

7 children were resettled with support (for education, health and social worker support);

14 children were resettled without support (other than for social worker support);

1 child was fostered without support (other than for social worker support);

4 sponsors were found for children who have been resettled. These sponsors cover the costs for education, health and social worker support.

As part of the social workers remit to support children at the Home, those who have been resettled, those fostered, and those supported locally in the community, they:-

Were supporting 41 children living at the Home at the end of the year. Tracing visits and assessments will have been carried out for all these children;

Assessed and supported 15 children already resettled and/or fostered who still receive support for education, health and social work support. This would also include ongoing parental training;

Supported 26 children and their families in the local community. The 26 children are supported by the project for their education fees, and follow up visits and parenting training continue.

There are also 117 children who have been resettled without support for education or health since 2015. Social workers are sometimes contacted by these families who require support or advice.
