Story
It's Twiiiix-maassssssss!
Twixmas is that time between Christmas and New Year, when leftovers are eaten and everyone starts to feel a little restless. But not the #TwixmasTribe - we will be making the most of this time by staying active and creative together, apart.
We are not letting COVID-19 get in the way of all the fun. Still fancy a dip? You and your household can go for a splash, raising funds on your own and making the kind of memories that last forever. Armbands and swimming caps at the ready!
Why not start a New Year's resolution early by enjoying a run on golden frosty mornings. Or, if you, enjoy taking life a little slower this time of year use this as a time to get cosy and creative.
Joining the #TwixmasTribe is a way of coming together in spirit if not in person. So whether you're in hill-walking boots or your toastiest slippers, let's do what we do best and keep that support for young people in recovery from cancer coming.
Join our campaign, set up your JustGiving page and let the #TwixmasTribe cheer you on. Don't forget to share your pictures with us across social @emctrust and use the #TwixmasTribe.
Why it matters...
Young people recovering from cancer are going to need the Trust more than ever after COVID-19. Because COVID has amplified feelings of isolation, loneliness, anxiety, anger and fear experienced in young people undergoing cancer treatment and their families.
Meanwhile, the Trust expects to see its income fall by a third this year due to COVID-19 taking a heavy toll on its 2020 fundraising activities. By joining the Twixmas tribe, the Trust can still be here for those young people who need our support after their treatment ends.
