Story
TRIBE Freedom Foundation is a charity, inspired by a 1,000 mile run from Odessa (Ukraine) to Dubrovnik (Croatia) to fight human trafficking and establish the first UK home for trafficked children. This was the first Run for Love. A journey that genuinely changed our lives forever (watch here).
We believe life-changing challenges define us all. As a community, we will support and empower each other to reach the finish line. It's not a race, it's an experience and we are all in it together. Pushing the limits of human endurance to fight modern slavery and end human trafficking.
The Challenge
TRIBE Run for Love 4 is the fourth in the epic Run for Love series; described as one of the world's toughest ultramarathons. It is a six-day challenge, covering 260 km. With 12,170 m metres of elevation (the equivalent of almost 1.5x Everest) in six days, a testing double marathon day on Day 4, including a climb up to 1,645m across brutal, rocky terrain and an average daily distance of 43 km this could be the toughest Run For Love ever.
The Cause
There are an estimated 40.3 million victims of slavery globally and 136,000 people living in slavery in the UK. That's more than two victims for every thousand people in the country. This needs to stop.
Our goal is to raise £500,000 towards TRIBE Freedom Foundation as we continue our work to fight modern slavery, end human trafficking and empower the survivors across the UK.

Funds Raised
At TRIBE Freedom Foundation, we champion holistic, long-term support for survivors of modern slavery across the UK and beyond. To date, we have created a life-changing impact for +10,000 survivors and potential victims.
Funds raised will support TRIBE Freedom Foundation and our project partners, to empower greater numbers of survivors across the UK, providing frontline support and enabling them to rebuild their lives with access to safe accommodation, therapy, medical, legal and casework support, education and business mentoring.
This spring, Ella's one of our project partners, will open their third safe house, a remarkable milestone. The safe house will be a space for female survivors of modern slavery and trafficking to recover in safety, with the support of an incredible community network and access to holistic long-term care. Not only does Ellas offer a place for survivors to call home; they provide each woman with tailored casework support to recover from the trauma theyve experienced, and gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to build independent lives that are safe and free.
Through fundraising from the TRIBE community, we have been able to support Ellas in increasing their capacity, providing expert care and life-changing impact for even more women.
This year, the TRIBE community is on a mission to raise funds towards the running, staffing, and maintenance of the new safe house, alongside survivor support costs. This will be the first of Ellas safe houses to feature a fully accessible bedroom and bathroom, widening their ability to help even more individuals and we could not be more proud to support!
