Story

Due to the Earthquake and resulting devastation in Morocco in September 2023, we have postponed our trek until May 2024.

On 28th May 2024 a team of trekkers will be setting off to reach the summit of almighty Mount Toubkal. Towering over the Atlas mountains at 4167m, Toubkal is a true North African challenge. Our team will face plenty of uphills and downhills with long days, and some truly punchy uphill climbs carrying a heavy packs.

Each member of the team is taking on this epic challenge to fundraise for the Chiltern Centre. At the Chiltern Centre we empower young people with disabilities to live life to the full. We offer the opportunity to do new things, learn new skills, make friends, gain confidence, self esteem and independence and have fun. At the same time we give the families of these young people the opportunity to take some time for themselves. Supporting a loved one with a disability can be an all consuming thing. So having that opportunity to give their young people a safe, happy and empowering place to spend time whilst themselves getting a chance to do some of the every day tasks most of us take for granted, can be truly life changing.

Every penny raised on this trek will support us to continue to provide life changing experiences and care for young people with a range of learning, and physical disabilities. Thank you for your support.
