Story
At Trafford Carers Centre we support young and adult carers to recognise their own needs, have their voices heard, help with their physical and mental wellbeing and ensure they are fully understood, valued and supported in their caring role.
We are fundraising to continue our support for carers by phone, face to face meetings, support groups, activities and events, health checks, benefit advice, advocacy, peer support and counselling.
I have found the service second to none and am very grateful to have had Trafford Young Carers to help on my behalf. I would not have been able to access the help and support we have needed without them and again can only thank them for being our voice in a time of need."- Young Carer
Three in five of us will be a carer at some point in our lives and while it can be rewarding and fulfilling, it can also be physically and mentally demanding. Carers often put their own needs last as they do their best for the person they are caring for. Carers can find it hard to take time for themselves and end up feeling lonely, stressed and unwell.
Having Trafford Carers Team there for me and seeming to know when I have needed help and support has certainly helped me through some difficult times. I am extremely grateful for that."- Carer M
