Why Support Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation
Navigating life with an infant or child with a health condition can be overwhelming, and at Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation, we get it. We believe no family should have to stress about their essential needs during this difficult time. Every day, we provide the financial, nutritional, and emotional support these families need. Because when we do, they can focus on what really matters: being there for their child.
When a Little Dog Made a Big Difference
“The Stink Bug Project has made a tremendous impact on Asia. Apollo changed her smile, and now there’s laughter. Asia has a brighter outlook, she wants to live.” – Melanie, Asia’s Mom
Asia has kidney disease and requires dialysis several times a week. While going through treatment, Asia struggled to cope and felt very alone. Then, her mom learned about the Stink Bug Project. After training and matching, the family was able to bring home a new member, Apollo. Now, when Asia is dealing with side effects from her treatment or loneliness, Apollo is there for her to give Asia the unconditional love and support she needs to get through the hard times.
Support Through Uncharted Territory.
'“Having a community come together and say ‘let’s gather our resources and help’…all I can do is say thank you." - Jerica
When Jerica found out she was unexpectedly six months pregnant and about to give birth, she was at a complete loss. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Phoenix, but the unexpected hospital stay meant finances for her family were getting tight. Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation stepped in to assist in covering the family's rent, providing gift cards for gas and essentials for their new baby, and getting a car seat so they could bring her home safely.
When Rental Assistance Was a Game Changer
“We would have been drowning without the support of Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation. Thank you for putting other people at the forefront of your mind and helping us through such a terrible time.” – Brooke, Everleigh's & Scarlett’s Mom
After Everleigh and her twin sister Scarlett were born, Everleigh needed several surgeries and spent months in the NICU. While trying to balance having a baby at home and their other baby fighting for her life, they lost their jobs and struggled to make ends meet. With eviction looming and the holidays approaching, the Foundation stepped in to cover their rent, pay their bills, and provide groceries and gifts for their first holiday season.
