Story
If a child has to spend Christmas Day in hospital our staff are committed to making their day as special as possible.
We want to continue with our tradition of providing Christmas gifts for our young patients. However due to Covid-19 we will need to do things differently. So this year we are asking for donations which will enable us to buy new toys for our young patients.
This year it will feel very different for our young patients who are spending Christmas day in hospital due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but were still aiming to spread some festive cheer and do everything we can to make their day as enjoyable as possible.
Your generosity will enable us to purchase new toys specially selected by our Play Specialists. These will be handed out on Christmas Day to all the children at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and University Hospital Lewisham who are too ill to go home for the festive period.
Due to Covid-19, we will not be able to accept toy drop offs as we have done in previous years. However your donation however big or small towards buying new toys will bring lots of smiles on Christmas Day and beyond.
Any funds raised which are left over will be allocated to purchase toys and other educational items throughout the year.
About our Charity:
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity makes a difference by funding projects at University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich. We fund projects that enhance patient care and benefit patients and visitors as well as our staff, who are going the extra mile every day.
We are truly grateful for your support. Thank you for helping us make a difference to our young patients during this festive season.
