Story

Said through slightly gritted teeth, The Tour of the TAP returned bigger than EVER before as Cure Leukaemia Chief Executive, James McLaughlin, leads the charity's Your 14 campaign during Blood Cancer Awareness Month by once again putting his running shoes on in September.

With the reach of TAP centres (Trials Acceleration Programme) funded by Cure Leukaemia expanding from 12 to 15 centres across the UK, this year has seen him run 15 legs of 14km in just 10 days. Totalling a staggering 210km, the equivalent of TEN half marathons across the ten days.

He has worked his way across the country supported by teams of Clinicians, Friends and the CL Family along the way, and completed the below schedule:

These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
