Scarlets Community Foundation ready for a Tour de Scarlets!

The Scarlets Community Foundation will be getting on their bike next month for a fundraising Tour de Scarlets, cycling to all 53 rugby clubs in the region.

Setting off from Parc y Scarlets on August 9, the team will be cycling a gruelling 350 miles taking in all our clubs across our three counties from Aberystwyth to St Davids to Yr Hendy.

The Foundation is aiming to raise funds that will go back into the grassroots game and help clubs with projects to kick-start their return to rugby.

Scarlets players and All Blacks great Sean Fitzpatrick will be joining the team along the way.

Community Foundation officer Rhodri Jones said: We hope to raise much-needed funds to invest back into our community clubs and female rugby hubs with their return to play and getting ready for the new season. The funds will also support the continued work of the Foundation following on from our care pack campaign during the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is going to be a tough challenge and wed love for our clubs to join us along the Tour.

The Scarlets Community Foundation was launched in 2020 and is the charity arm of the Scarlets.

Sefydliad Cymunedol y Scarlets yn barod am Daith de Scarlets!

Mis nesaf, bydd Sefydliad Cymunedol y Scarlets yn cychwyn Taith de Scarlets lle fyddwn yn seiclo i bob 53 clwb sydd o fewn ein rhanbarth.

Yn cychwyn o Barc y Scarlets ar y 9fed o Awst, bydd y tîm yn seiclo 350 o filltiroedd gan ymweld â phob clwb ar draws tair sir o Aberystwyth i Ty Ddewi a draw ir Hendi.

Maer Sefydliad yn anelu at godi arian a fydd yn cael ei rhoi tuag at rygbi cymunedol a helpu clybiau gyda phrosiectau i helpu eu dychweliad at rygbi.

Bydd chwaraewyr y Scarlets a arwr y Crysau Duon Sean Fitzpatrick yn ymuno âr tîm ar hyd y daith.

Dywedodd swyddog Gymunedol y Scarlets Rhodri Jones: Gobeithiwn i godi arian i allu fuddsoddi nôl i mewn ir clybiau gymundeol a clybiau merched gydau dychweliad i rygbi a partoadau am y tymor newydd. Hefyd, bydd yr arian yn cefnogi gwaith y sefydliad gan ddilyn ein ymgyrch pecynnau gofal yn ystod Covid-19.
