Story
Tony is our Vice Chair and has been living with prostate cancer for over seven years and has been a passionate runner for many more, completing marathons around the world. Running has helped him enormously in dealing with his cancer diagnosis, so when he was told he had to stop due to needing a knee operation in May 2024 it's been a real mental struggle.
Tony is determined to start running again and build his distance up. To start with he is working towards a 5k in November at Wilmslow Park for 5k Your Way day. He's decided to use this as a way of demonstrating the benefits exercise can bring to someone with cancer, while also raising money for Tackle.
So please support Tony, either by sponsoring is page or why not do your own run and get sponsored yourself, supporting Tackle's work at the same time.
All money raised will be used to help us set up new groups, reaching more men with peer support.
