Story
The MCA Trust are honoured to be the chosen charity for Tom Davies' Richmond Marathon on Sunday 15th September 2024. Tom, a keen sportsman from Reigate, Surrey has dedicated his fundraising to the MCA Trust.
"I'm running the Richmond Marathon on the 15th September to raise money for the MCA Trust. I'm 27 years old, and live in Reigate, Surrey. I've always been a keen sportsman, and I started to take running more seriously during the COVID lockdown. I have previously run a few half-marathons, raising money for a local food bank charity. It has always been a goal of mine to run the full 26.2 miles, and I'd love the opportunity to do so whilst raising money for a great cause.
I learned of the MCA Trust via a family member, who told me all about the great work they do supporting children and teenagers through their cancer journey. I know times are tough at the moment, but if the image of me trundling around south-west London whilst trying to avoid a heart attack brings you a smile, then please spare what you can and donate to the MCA Trust. - Tom Davies
Any amount donated, from £1 to £1,000 will go directly towards the life-changing work the MCA Trust carries out daily. Were so proud to be working tirelessly to protect our 97.6p in every £1 donated to the MCA Trust going directly to the children and families we support.
In 2024, the MCA Trust's Education & Careers Scheme will be launching - your support will be going directly towards this ground-breaking initiative to help fill any education gaps in children that may arise through cancer treatments.
Tom hugely appreciates your generosity, and on behalf of everyone at The MCA Trust, thank you.
