The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation - A Charity for the Whole Community
During the first COVID-19 lockdown, many people were suddenly faced with new challenges and difficulties and no resources to cope; The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation was initially established as an emergency foodbank to support those facing unexpected financial hardship during this time. Since then, we have evolved into a multi-faceted charity with community at the heart of everything we do - providing a broad range of supportive welfare services to those in need.
Our services include:
Food Support - We provide over 60 local schools, as well as other vital organisations, with regular and emergency food parcels from our foodbank.
Social Clubs - We run a variety of weekly social gatherings, which target social isolation and wellbeing.
Schools Network - We support our network of 63 Northamptonshire primary and secondary schools with food parcels, as well as breakfast boxes and our Tech4Kids scheme.
Renovations - We provide room renovations and regular garden maintenance to households across Northamptonshire who may be struggling.
Affordable Haircuts - We offer haircuts at a significantly reduced price for those in need
Learning Opportunities - We provide cookery classes and digital inclusion sessions to members of the community who will benefit.
