Story
Along the South Fork of the Little River, ten acres of steep forest naturally filter water entering the river and provide critical wildlife habitat and scenic views. Triangle Land Conservancy has conserved 146 acres of adjacent woods, streams, and ecosystems at this river bend, but we need your help to protect this final piece and 800 more feet of riverbank! The City of Durham Watershed Protection program, Rock Spring Branch, and the landowner have pledged the funds to make this project possible, can you help us fill the gap to make it happen? We have 40 days to raise the remaining $40,000 we need to purchase this property and permanently conserve its natural state by the end of the year!
