Story
Tibbs Dementia Foundation is a local charity committed to supporting people with dementia and their families to live as well as possible. We work together to remain connected and stimulated in an encouraging and understanding environment.
All of our services and activities are designed to reduce isolation and loneliness and to promote physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing.
We know that people with dementia can quickly become isolated, lose their skill set and experience anxiety and depressive thought. A caring role can also be a challenging, physically demanding and stressful one and our work at Tibbs Dementia Foundation is focused on reducing this and enabling a positive life with dementia.
In response to the challenges of the Covid-19 restrictions we have reshaped our services so we can continue to deliver the support and care that people expect and value from our community.
Connection remains central to our service provision and we are committed to ensuring that everyone we support continues to feel valued and remain part of our dynamic community.
Our new service provision includes regular focused phone calls, increased use of social media channels, two editions of our online newsletter, compiling and distributing cognitively stimulating resources and developing online forums and activities.
Your donation will help enable us to do this and to continue to support the most vulnerable and isolated to live as well as possible through this current crisis and to look forward to our regular services starting again as soon as it is safe to do so.
