Tibberton CE Primary School with Shropshire-based Flarewell has embarked on the creation of a new and exciting Outdoor Innovation Classroom (OIC) in the grounds of our lovely village school.

Due to be complete by the end of the school term and ready for use by teachers and pupils in September, the project will provide children with the learning environment to help develop a range of technological, environmental and innovation skills to equip them for a future in our ever-advancing world.

The building itself will include facilities to demonstrate renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and water, and the classroom will provide a state-of-the -art school room environment to promote innovation.

Learning within the OIC will focus on the climate, agri-tech and the environment and is supported with a range of exciting technology modules.

Thanks to Flarewell and the support of Telford & Wrekin Council, funding is already secured for the OIC Building construction, groundworks and services, as well as provision of some of the key innovation equipment elements.

Tibberton Primary School along with the Parent Teacher Association are now seeking further support from parents, school friends, community groups, businesses and other organisations to raise funds to fit out the classroom furniture as well as additional equipment and resources to set this classroom apart from any other.

The PTA and a number of local businesses and individuals have already made a significant donation towards the cost of new IT equipment for use within the classroom but with limited opportunities to hold fundraising events throughout 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, funds are unfortunately limited, and we need YOUR help to turn this part of the vision into reality.

We think this project is pretty special and if you feel the same and would like to show your support, we'd be grateful for any amount you can comfortably donate whether that be £2, £20, £200 or £2,000.
