Story

Thrive is the gardening for health charity . We use gardening to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable.

We rely heavily on the generosity and kindness of the public to raise money to ensure more people can access Thrive's knowledge, expertise and programmes.

People like Leslie come to Thrive to escape the stresses, strains and isolation that life can bring around. Last year, Leslie was going through weeks of arduous radiotherapy for cancer and the pandemic left him socially isolated. But coming to Thrive allowed him to get out, learn new skills and meet new people.

Coming here, I'm just concentrating on these plants and I just forget everything else. I forget how ill I feel.

You can help more people access Thrive by challenging yourself this summer and showcasing your efforts to raise money for our great cause,

Thrive also offers free advice on how the use the garden for your own health benefits for those those with specific disabilities for our carryongardening.org.uk website.

Start your fundraising today. You will have a dedicated team member to help you on your fundraising journey and if you use Strava to record your event or training we have a community of participants waiting to cheer you on.
