Thornbury Rotary Club is always thinking of ways to raise essential funds for charities and worthy causes. For our first Walkathon, we raised over £10,000 in 2021 (our 50th anniversary year). Spurred on by this success, and the substantial support provided by the local community, we decided to run this fun event again. Designed for all age groups and capabilities, walkers can choose their route from a number of options: (1) Around Mundy Playing Fields - 1 mile. (2) Lanes and Footpaths around Thornbury - 4 miles. (3) Around Thornbury and Surrounding Villages - 10 miles. ALSO, to complete the challenge, you can choose any time you wish, from 17th September to 1st October. Charities taking part will benefit by having 50% of the their sponsorship money returned to them.
