Story
This summer, a hundred or so ordinary humans will steel their thighs and ride really far in solidarity with displaced people in the UK and beyond.
100 steely-thighed cyclists are riding in an 8-week relay through 11 different countries, sweating, crying, laughing and sweating again, from the historic port of Glasgow to the sun-soaked temples of Athens.
We'll ride over 5,400km from Glasgow to Athens, climbing a ridiculous 7 Everests in height along the way.
Supported by our beloved van Calypso, our tight-knit community are fundraising £80,000+ in support of grassroots projects with dignified and sustainable initiatives for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers in the Greece and the UK.
Every donation makes a difference. Take these examples from the Khora community centre in Athens:
£10 buys 20kg of fresh fruit and veg to serve at the Khora community kitchen, free for anyone who needs a hot meal with friendly faces
£50 covers the costs of running the Khora Asylum Support Team for a day, providing vital, free legal support to asylum seekers in Athens
£100 pays the electricity, water and gas bills at the Khora kitchen for a FORTNIGHT
£250 covers food supplies needed at the Khora kitchen for a whole MONTH
Thank you
