Story
Everyone who takes on the Ultimate Golf Challenge raises money for the UTS Cancer Foundation so we can help people who are living with Cancer on the Wirral.
A big part of what we do is to provide post cancer care, physically and emotionally, to help people maximise their lives post treatment.
This charity started in 2016 and has already raised over £180,000 but we need your help to make a real difference. There are currently 12,000 people who are effected by Cancer on the Wirral, we want to raise money to help each and every one of them!We challenge all Wirral golfers (and anyone else who wants to get involved across the globe!) to play 72 holes of golf in a 24 hr period to raise money for the UTS Foundation.
All private and municipal courses have signed up to support this and a host of locally renowned sports people, actors and comedians have already sent promo videos, or committed to play.
The top 18 fund-raising teams will be invited to play in A Day in the life of a Golf Pro at either Caldy Golf Club (run by PlayFair Golf events).
There will be an additional evening event at the Hillbark Hotel to raise money for the foundation and celebrate the achievements of everyone who takes part in the event.
Given that playing 72 holes of golf in 24 hours is no easy task, not all golfers will be able to complete this. Therefore, we will have a range of participation options so that golfers of all ages, abilities and fitness levels can take part, such as crazy golf, chip and putt and simulator golf.
The key objective is to raise more than 100k for the UTS Foundation, which means we need to attract around 125 teams (there is a minimum fund-raising spend of £200 per player).
