Story

Thank You for Visiting AJ’s Page!

Meet Alexander Jamie (AJ) San—a happy, loving, and fun five-year-old boy with a diagnosis of Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and Epilepsy. AJ lights up the room with his cheerful personality and enjoys being around his peers, reading books, and singing nursery rhymes—his favorite is The Wheels on the Bus!

Supporting AJ’s Journey

We are fundraising to provide AJ with intensive therapy sessions that can help him progress toward greater independence and, hopefully, taking his very first steps!

Here’s what we’ve achieved and what’s ahead:

Swim Lab International Therapy with Trexo Plus, Lanzarote (November 2023) – Completed!

Swim Lab International Therapy, Lanzarote (May 2024) – Completed!

Swim Lab International Therapy with Trexo Plus, Lanzarote (April 2025) – Booked!

AJ’s Story

AJ’s story began with a smooth pregnancy and a natural birth at 38 weeks, weighing 5lb 5oz. However, during his 10–12 month health review, developmental delays were flagged. At the time, AJ was unable to sit up, roll independently, or develop fine motor skills as expected.

Since then, AJ has been under the care of multiple healthcare professionals, attending numerous hospital appointments and therapy sessions.

In August 2021, AJ began experiencing head drop seizures (Atonic seizures). After extensive evaluation, he was diagnosed with epilepsy in January 2022. His seizures are now controlled with Sodium Valproate and Topamax (topiramate) since December 2022.

While AJ continues to work tirelessly on his therapies, his developmental gap has grown wider compared to his peers. Currently, AJ is non-mobile and non-verbal. Although he has a Rifton Pacer, he has not yet been able to use it as a walking aid.

Why We’re Fundraising

We don’t know exactly what AJ’s future developmental journey will hold, but we are determined to give him every opportunity to thrive. With your support, we aim to continue providing AJ with the intensive therapies and specialized equipment he needs to improve his quality of life and progress in his daily activities.

How You Can Help

Your donations will directly contribute to AJ’s therapy sessions and equipment, supporting his ongoing journey of growth and development.

Thank you for your generosity and support—it means the world to AJ and our family!
