Story
Since the early years of the charity, our annual sponsored walk; 'Stepping out for Scotland' has been one of many fundraisers allowing volunteers to meet. Originally a large event at locations such as Queen's Park, Glasgow, in recent years it has become a much smaller event, run by our volunteers from 'Badenoch and Strathspey' and held around the Aviemore area.
This year, our aim is to involve as many of our 1200 members as possible through their daily dog walks over the weekend of 30th October-1st November 2020. Accompanied by trusty four-legged companions, family, and friends as Scottish Government lockdown restrictions permit, take to the footpaths and raise funds through sponsorship or donation. If you don't have a dog, don't worry, you can still join in. Link your own Just Giving page to us and share comments to inspire others or simply use our page to make a secure donation.
Don't forget to tell us how many miles you have covered, then watch our Therapet mascot 'Dave' on our social media sites as he travels round the NC500 map logging our journey over the course of the weekend.
This was a fantastic event! We raised over £4000 through JustGiving and other donations and walked over 400 miles! Well done everyone involved and thank you!
