We believe that people with a learning disability should have control of their own support and be able to live their lives as they choose. This is why, when someone joins Thera East Anglia, we ask them what they want from their support. We tailor the support we provide around their answers, whether that’s small things like visiting friends and family often, or big life goals like starting a career.

Support at home

Day to day support can help people with a learning disability keep their house clean, safe, and tidy as well as doing other tasks like food shopping and paying bills. We also support with big live events, like choosing a new house, moving in, and redecorating and furnishing it to make it a happy home.

Support in the community

Heading out into the big wide world is something we all enjoy. Thera East Anglia helps with the most important things in life, whatever that looks like to the person we support. Whether that’s attending college or getting a job, or it could be having an active social life, attending events and clubs, a meeting new people.

Wherever our support is wanted, Thera East Anglia is here to enable people with a learning disability to enjoy a career, family, hobbies, and home – just like everyone else.
