Story
A day for #Philantrhopy #giving back #givingisgreat #generosity. One donation makes a world of difference, and it really does! This year we have suffered quite substantial damage from Storm Arwen.
After the tidy up from the storm, we are now starting to see how much damage has been caused. Everything that is broken costs money, and time to replace. Whilst we are delighted to say nobody was injured, and no animals were hurt , we still have repairs to make
Despite it all, our work continues, and releases have been taking place. A beautiful goose who came in shot and left for dead. Both her eyes had a very bad infection where she had crash landed, and she was so weak and disoriantated. She recovered well and was today released (keep safe little one!), along with a Pheasant who had suffered a severe concussion and head trauma from a road traffic accident - back out into the wild living their best lives
Its been a tough few years for all of us, with the pandemic causing chaos and worries with health, jobs, lifestyles and affecting every aspect of everybodys lives. Its has been busier than ever here at the Wildlife Rescue, and although we had to take some precautions, we stayed open every day, and our staff and volunteers worked hard to ensure we could still offer help to any animal or bird in need - our hats go off to everybody for working so hard!
Every year we are amazed how much help we get from you, and every year we are genuinely touched by all the messages from our supporters - Thank you, from us, and from all the animals and birds you help every year through Giving Tuesday
