Hello, my name is Quinn, I am 6 years old (7 in March) and I have cerebral palsy caused by being starved of oxygen at birth. I was also born 15 weeks premature and spent first nine months in hospital.

My amazing family and friends have been fundraising for Just4Children since October 2018 to help pay for private therapies which on average costs around £25,000 each year. This is purely for therapies and flights to the US. All the other costs associated with the therapies, hotels, car hire and food are paid for by Mummy and Daddy.

My go to therapies include stem cell therapies and intensive therapies that are 1-3 weeks long. We travel to the US for stem cells every 9 months. My next intensive therapy is a week in April in the UK, stem cells in June and I am on waiting list for a place for feeding and swallowing therapy in the US later in the year and then stem cells again in early 2025.

I would not be where I am today without these therapies. I was in hospital every month for 3 years, sometimes every week, but now I am rarely admitted to hospital which I am so happy about. These therapies help me to thrive and improve my quality of life. Year on year I have progressed.

Since 2018 I have learned to sit independently, stand and walk with support, I can crawl and bum shuffle around. I sign to communicate and attend a mainstream school, I am learning lots and I have a wicked sense of humour. My understanding is much more advanced than my communication and the plan is to concentrate this year in getting the right communication aid for me so I can talk with my family and friends.
