Story

Why We Need a New Premises

As TMDF continues to grow, so does the demand for our services, the number of people we support, and our need for more staff and volunteers. We are constantly identifying new areas of need and planning to introduce additional services in the coming months. However, we have outgrown our current premises and urgently need a permanent home.

Our current space becomes overcrowded during social club sessions, lacks private meeting areas for confidential client support, and our food and essentials hub is spread across multiple temporary locations, creating logistical challenges. Our limited office space forces the team to work in unsuitable conditions, often sharing desks or working remotely. To ensure long-term stability and efficiency, we need a dedicated home where we can continue providing vital support to the Northamptonshire community, with the security to plan for the future and meet the needs of those who rely on us.

About Queensgrove

Queensgrove Methodist Church presents the perfect opportunity for us to expand and meet our growing needs. The building offers fantastic transport links and ample space for our operations, including food bank storage, social club spaces, private meeting rooms for clients, and offices for our team.

Built in 1864, Queensgrove has a rich history as a centre for support, friendship, and guidance within the local community. We want to continue this legacy by transforming it into a permanent community hub - providing our vital services while creating new initiatives to benefit Northamptonshire for years to come.

To purchase and carry out essential refurbishments to make Queensgrove best suited to our needs, we need to raise £500,000.

How You Can Help

Donate

Every penny counts, whether large or small, your generosity will bring us closer to establishing a permanent home for our charity and a vital hub for those in need.

Sponsor a Brick

Each brick of our future home is available for sponsorship for £100 each, and we are inviting you to join us in creating a lasting legacy for our charity, one brick at a time. Whether it’s to honour someone you care about, remember a lost loved one, or simply to contribute to a cause making a real difference - your sponsorship will help us create a permanent base for our services, ensuring we can continue supporting those in need, for years to come

Spread the Word!

We know not everyone is in a position to donate, especially with the rising cost of living. However, raising awareness is just as important—please share this page with your friends, family, and colleagues, and help us reach as many people as possible.

How We Will Recognise Your Support

This project wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our community. To show our gratitude:

All donors will be formally recognised on our website’s online ‘thank you’ page (unless you prefer to remain anonymous - please just let us know!).

Brick sponsors and large donors will have their names featured on a commemorative display at our premises, acknowledging everyone who made this vision a reality.

Significant donations may have the opportunity to name a room in the centre, either in recognition of their contribution, in memory of a loved one, or in any other way that feels suitable to them.

If we don't secure Queensgrove...

While we are hopeful, there is a chance we may not be successful in acquiring Queensgrove Methodist Church. In the unlikely event this happens, all donations from this campaign will go towards securing an alternative permanent home for our charity. We are determined to find a long-term base for TMDF, ensuring we can continue supporting our community for years to come.

Thanks for Reading!

Please share our campaign to help spread the word, and if you're able, please consider making a donation. Every contribution brings us closer to securing a permanent home for TMDF, and the community we support.
