Story
Rowcroft events are a great way to show your support for your local hospice, but they are expensive to deliver. In order to keep entry fees down, we make sure the registration price only covers the cost of the event itself. What this means is that we rely heavily on the kindness of people like you to raise funds to help us to continue to care for more than 2,000 people each year living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon.
Brand new for 2019, The Male Trail is the first ever men-only event offered by Rowcroft Hospice. Were calling on the troopers of Torbay, the dudes of Dawlish, the guys of Galmpton, the blokes of Brixham, the chaps of Churston and the noblemen of Newton Abbot to come together in support of your local hospice.
The Male Trail starts and finishes at Torquay Athletic Rugby Football Club and will see our fabulous fundraising fellas take on an 8-mile walk around Torquay, before being welcomed back with a free pint (courtesy of TARFC) and a pasty (courtesy of TBC), before watching the England vs Scotland 6 Nations game on of of SIX 65-inch full-HD LED screens in the marquee.
Not all heroes wear capes, but they arent afraid to fundraise
To me, family comes first and the truth is that none of us know what the future holds. Who knows, you may need Rowcroft one day, or your mum or dad might need them. Everyone who lives here has a responsibility to do their bit so that Rowcroft doesnt disappear. Anthony Jones, Twenty1 Lounge.
Taking in some stunning views of Torbay from the South West Coast Path, as well as marching straight through the middle of the bustling Torquay Town Centre, the 8-mile walk is a mixture of casual coastal strolls; exposed walking paths and pavements, so all participants must be of reasonable fitness to take part.
