Story

THE ARCTIC FRONTIER CHALLENGE: Beyond Boundaries for Childhood Cancers

Our team of brave trekkers are gearing up for an unforgettable journey to the Arctic Circle all to raise awareness and vital funds for The Joshua Tree- a charity who supports families affected by childhood cancers across the North West of England and North Wales.

The Challenge Ahead:

Starting from Rovaniemi, Finland, our three-day trek into the Arctic Circle promises to push participants to their limits. Battling the elements, each adventurer will haul their own heavy kit through below-freezing temperatures, spending nights under the stars in tents. The 40-mile route will undoubtedly test every ounce of mental and physical endurance, all after months and months of gruelling training in preparation for the trek.

Our Goal:

Vital fundraising helps to sustain the support the charity can offer to families affected by childhood cancers. Currently, the The Joshua Tree supports over 350 families, encompassing all family members from diagnosed children to siblings and grandparents.

We prioritise nurturing the mental and emotional wellbeing of families, offering support throughout their cancer journey and beyond remission to foster lifelong wellbeing.

While ringing the bell signifies the end of cancer treatment, it often marks the beginning of a new journey for families—recovering from trauma and finding their "new normal." The Joshua Tree continues to support families during treatment and beyond, ensuring their well-being as they transition into the next phase of life.
