The world is experiencing a global education crisis. Around the world there are roughly 260 million children out of education, including 75 million who have had their education disrupted by conflict and emergencies. Roughly 175 million children are missing out on early years education despite the fact the brain develops the most quickly between ages naught to five. And if we make no change then by 2030, 825 million young people (that's half of the world's young population) will not have the skills they need to enter the workforce.

The education crisis threatens not only the global economy, but some of the greatest challenges the world is facing - from climate change and poverty, to food security and global health. Education is key to making our world healthier, greener, fairer and wealthier.
