Story
The Trustees, Staff and Volunteers here at The Hope Hub would like to thank you for your kind donation. Donations such as yours are a real contribution to our work and will help to make a difference to peoples lives. Your donation will be used to help us continue to deliver our services to those affected by homelessness and poverty especially at this time during the COVID-19 pandemic period. We want all of our clients to be safe and able to stay home
Your donation is very important to us and we are extremely grateful. All of our planned funding events have been cancelled, and this will impact our fundraising efforts for the foreseeable future.
The Hope Hub has remained open for the longest of any non-NHS service in Surrey Heath but from 30-3-2020, we moved to a non-direct contact service to help protect our staff and volunteer team and introduce different ways of supporting homeless Clients placed into emergency accommodation. We are providing approximately 40 food parcels a week and telephone support for all our Clients. We will continue to support all 170 of our clients throughout this pandemic and beyond with food parcels for those that need them and telephone support.
You may be interested to know that since we moved to our new premises, last April, during the period April 2019 to February 2020:
we have supported a further 159 new homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in addition to the longer term Clients who continue to need our support in a range of ways.
the age range of Clients spans 18 to 82 to date
our services were accessed 5431 times. That is an average of 30+ times per person.
We open our doors to all whether from abusive homes, trafficked, homeless, unemployed, in debt or at risk of homelessness. Our goal is always to try to empower people to be the best they can be and we can now offer a range of training, volunteering and employment opportunities through our SERVICES PATHWAY.
Thank you again for your kind donation and support especially at this difficult time for us all.
