Story
27% of children in the UK are living in poverty. There were 3.9 million children living in poverty in the UK in 2020-21.
This campaign aims to draw attention to Children's Poverty Day and how many of our young people are struggling with daily poverty issues, due to issues at home and in aspects of their day to day life.
The Butterfly Project provides hope & help to vulnerable & at-risk young people living in Hertfordshire, Essex and Enfield. Our beneficiaries experience or are at risk of exploitation, abuse, depression, self harm, homelessness, unemployment and living in poverty and uncertainty.
Butterfly is a 6-week intervention and support programme, building life skills and providing creative activities that help them celebrate their talents, secure their identity and have a voice. The Gifted's young people are isolated and without a safe place to call their own. The Butterfly gives them this caring environment to break from their cocoon and fly!
Through Butterfly, our beneficiaries step away from obscurity and enjoy the possibilities we offer, with access to bespoke affirmation and reflection toolkits, positive mentoring, care packs, digital resources community projects and employability opportunities.
We would like to invite you and perhaps any of your family, friends or colleagues to raise a minimum of £100 with 100 people in the #Gifted100 2022 team!
The scheme ends on December 10th 2022, so this gives you just under 2 months to raise as much money as you can for The Gifted's work with highly vulnerable children in Hertfordshire, Essex and Enfield.
