🎭 Support the Future of Opera – Help Launch Our Young Artist Programme

Flat Pack Music is proud to be touring Mozart’s Don Giovanni across the North of England — and alongside it, we’re launching the trial year of our brand-new Young Artist Programme.

While we didn’t receive external funding this time, we’re committed to providing high-quality, meaningful opportunities for early-career singers and creatives to gain experience, mentorship, and professional performance opportunities.

🌀 This year is just the beginning.

The experience and evidence we gather will help shape a fully funded Young Artist Programme for future years — and you can be part of making that happen.

🎶 All of our Young Artists are emerging professionals from the Royal Northern College of Music — one of the UK’s leading conservatoires.

They are:

• Performing roles alongside seasoned professionals

• Covering principal roles and receiving coaching whenever possible

• Singing in the chorus as part of a full touring production

• Assisting in direction and creative development

Such opportunities are few and far between in the North of England — and we’re passionate about changing that.

We’re raising funds to cover core production costs — rehearsal space, coaching, travel, creative support — and to ensure we can give these talented individuals the best experience possible.

The costs to stage, costume and rehearse an opera like this is approximately £5000.

👉 £5 or £500 every donation will go towards this project. The more we raise, the more opportunities we can offer — this year and in the future.

Since our very first steps at Flat Pack Music, we’ve been passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for emerging and established artists across the North.

From performance platforms to training experiences, we’ve worked to nurture talent at every stage — even launching an online competition during the Covid-19 lockdown to keep creativity alive. We’re incredibly proud to be developing our Young Artist Programme as we look ahead to an exciting and inclusive future.
