Story

At The Fox Project, we are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating foxes in need, providing them with the care and support they require to thrive in the wild. We encounter many foxes who arrive at our hospital in a state of collapse, with no clear indications of the underlying cause of their condition.

To ensure that we can provide the best possible care for these vulnerable animals, we are seeking your support to acquire essential medical equipment that will greatly enhance our ability to diagnose and treat these foxes effectively.

We are looking to purchase two vital machines that will revolutionise our diagnostic capabilities and allow us to delve deeper into the health issues affecting the foxes in our care:

1. **VetScan VS2 (Biochemistry):** This machine will enable us to analyse blood chemistry, including liver and kidney function, glucose levels, and electrolytes. By obtaining this critical information, we can pinpoint underlying health issues such as organ problems and infections.

2. **VetScan HM5 (Haematology):** With this machine, we will be able to conduct blood cell counts to detect conditions like anaemia and infections, providing crucial insights into the overall health status of the foxes under our care.

The combined cost for both machines is £17,208.90. Thanks to generous donations totalling £13,000, including a significant contribution of £12,000 and another £1,000 specifically designated for the blood machine, we are only £4,208.90 away from acquiring these essential pieces of equipment.

Your support can make a real and tangible difference in the lives of the foxes that rely on us for their well-being and recovery. By helping us reach our fundraising goal, you will directly contribute to improving the diagnosis and treatment of foxes in need, ultimately increasing their chances of a successful rehabilitation and release back into the wild.

Please consider making a donation today to support The Fox Project in acquiring these vital machines and continuing our mission to care for and protect these magnificent animals. Together, we can make a lasting impact and ensure a brighter future for the foxes who depend on our care.

Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and commitment to wildlife conservation.
