Story
The Felix Project is honoured to be chosen as the RBKC Mayor Cllr Preety Hudd Mayoral Charity for 2023/24.
GOOD FOOD FOR GOOD CAUSES
The Felix Project believes in a vision of London where no-one goes hungry and good food is never wasted. And together, we believe we can win the fight against food waste and hunger in London.
We rescue fresh, nutritious food from across the food chain, and deliver it to the people who need it most from one hand to another.
Our mission might be simple, but it takes a lot of work. This year were aiming to deliver 35 million meals, saving 15,000 tonnes of food that would have otherwise been wasted.
Amanda Bailey from Venture Centre in Notting Hill Adventure Playground says –
“We are so grateful for the support from The Felix Project. I regularly speak to those who come to the centres, so I know how much they value the foodbank. With the cost of living being so high, people have found more of their finances are going on utility bills and the extra food is really appreciated by those who receive it. We have been receiving food since the lockdown in 2020.
We receive and distribute a wide variety of nutritious food from the Felix Project and support up to approximately 150 people directly at Golborne on Saturdays, plus maybe 50 others indirectly”.
We need your help to work towards ending London hunger and winning the fight against food waste.
