Story
The generosity of the community in supporting our services has been the highlight of the past year, for us.
Every penny or pound that you donate to our campaign will help us continue to prevent and relieve homelessness for local people, as we navigate 2021 and deal with huge increases in demand.
Last year, we received 72% more enquiries compared to 2019.
Despite the challenging circumstances we all face as a community, and the on-going effect of the pandemic, we will continue to reconfigure services to make sure that we achieve the best results for the local people we support, in the safest ways possible.
Working holistically, we will help pave brighter futures in the long-term.
Whether it is housing advice, rough sleeping, food poverty, support to gain employment, improving familial relationships, maintaining tenancies, improving budgeting skills or so much more... We are here.

Thank you for supporting us. Together, we can fight homelessness.
Neil was in and out of prison for 28 years, regularly sleeping rough in between. He said:
"While I was in temporary accommodation, I would come by every day to speak to Reception. They'd always chat with me and gave me food parcels when I needed them. It was great knowing there was somewhere I could go to talk, after years of being isolated in prison.
"It was hard for me to explain all of my issues in a 20 housing interview, so having my Advisor there to support me really changed things. She knew I was vulnerable, did the research and never stopped pushing."
"Eventually I was offered my own flat. It must have been magic because after a week I was offered it permanently. Finally, everything started to fit in. The flat was matched to me and everybody at The Bridge was behind me.
"That's all I needed really. There are a lot of people I know that want to change, in their brain, but it all needs to fit in. I needed the right opportunity so that I could be different. I've always wanted somewhere to be on my own, I was just forced to be with others."
