The Brick plays a vital role in re-building and transforming the lives of many people throughout the Wigan Borough. A key element of this work takes place at The Brick Works. This is a dedicated facility, providing a safe environment for clients (many previously homeless) to learn essential employability skills which will support them towards becoming fully contributing members of the community again. These may include practical skills such as cycle maintenance, catering and carpentry through to basic skills including time-keeping, acceptable appearance /hygiene and social skills.

Unfortunately, the landlord is planning to sell the building that includes The Brickworks. The Brick would like to safeguard the facility and the fabulous work that takes place there. To do this, The Brick need to raise a deposit of £50,000. This would then enable a mortgage to be secured to complete the purchase of what would be our first wholly owned property.
