Story
What's Happening?
The Big Worcester Sleep Out will return October 14th 2021 to raise money for three Worcester Charities; St Pauls Hostel, Warriors Community Foundation, and Maggs Day Centre.
NEW FOR 2021 - In light of the impact of the COVID pandemic, we are delighted to announce the option to sleep out at home for 2021. You can now sleep out at home and help change lives - We only ask this is done within your own private space, and that you notify us if you will not be attending SixWays on the night - Please remember to share your pictures on the night via social media with the hashtag #worcssleepout
The Causes
We are aiming to raise £45,000 for 2021 with all of the funds raised will be split equally between St Pauls Hostel, Warriors Community Foundation, and Maggs Day Centre.
Our Mission
Our mission is to raise awareness of the complex issues surrounding homelessness within our county, and the services our charities relentlessly push forward. We started our event to help change perceptions, as well changing lives. Whilst we always seek to create empathy through education, we do not seek to recreate the experience of being homeless.
Our Aims
In 2019, we had over 120 attend our event, and together we raised £36,000. Our aim for 2021 is to have at least 150 people sleeping out on the night either at Sixways or at home, raising £45,000. All money raised will be split between equally by Maggs, St Pauls, and Warriors Community Foundation.
