Story
Inspired by the amazing supporters we met during our Beat 120 Challenge last year, we are launching the Beat 125 challenge this October.
Walk, Make or Bake for the 1.25 million people affected by eating disorders.
Eating disorders are scary, isolating and lonely illnesses and for so many, the pandemic derailed recovery keeping them from getting support from family, friends and healthcare professionals. NHS data shows the number of children and young people waiting for treatment at the end of 2020 was three times higher than the end of 2019. On our Helpline, demand for our services is also three times higher.
Join the Beat 125 Challenge this October to spread a message of strength, solidarity and hope and tell those 1.25 million - you are not alone!
Anorexia had been a part of my life since before I was aware it was there. I thought that it was normal to think about food and exercise every waking moment of my day. But these thoughts became actions and it was only once they began to impact my physical health that I knew I had to confront that something was not okay. I needed help.
By supporting Beat you can help us answer every call and support more people on their journey to recovery. Together we can beat eating disorders.
