That's why were launching a new fundraising initiative this December, The Twelve Days of Christmas Challenge. Each day we will be unlocking one advent calendar door with lots of well-known names who will be sharing some great Christmas ideas and unique gifts to help raise money.
For a donation of what you might normally spend on cards and postage (minimum donation of £5.00) you can order a special edition Cornwall Air Ambulance virtual Christmas card, which you can send on to your loved ones. These beautiful cards have been designed by cornishbirdinthesticks. In the picture gallery are previews of the card options. If you would like to order a design, please state "Virtual Card" followed by your choice i.e. "in Cornish" in your donation message. You will receive a link shortly after.
Please remember to leave your name and email address (not anonymous) so we can send you your card.
Please state which of the three cards (images below) you would like to order. 1) Cornish 2) Merry Christmas or 3) Season's Greetings
Remember your donations can make such a big difference: £10 could cover the cost of bandages, tubes, syringes, and other essential medical supplies for a single mission; £30 can pay for a Critical Care Paramedic to treat a time-critical adult or child both at scene and en-route to hospital; and £100 can fuel a flight to reach a seriously injured or ill adult or child.
We hope you enjoy the challenge, and please do like and share what you see. If you are able, your donations here are greatly appreciated.
We start on 1 December 2020 with Fern Britton and Johnny Cowling hosting a Virtual Carol Concert, featuring over 200 performers.
Switch then to our live feeds on Instagram with two of our favourite and well-known Chefs in Cornwall, Paul Ainsworth and Rick Stein who have created some special Christmas recipes and prizes for you to bid for. We also have world renowned artists painting live, including Britains favourite modern impressionist, Sherree Valentine Daines.
You can learn how to make Christmas wreaths and floral arrangements and you will have the opportunity to buy various Christmas gifts over the 12 days. The campaign finishes on the 12 December with a Grand Auction (www.cornwallairambulance.auction) featuring some one-off, amazing prizes with all proceeds going to the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.
This has all been made possible thanks to our new Ambassador, Dr Karen Dickens, and her company, Comitti Boats UK & Caribbean (www.comittiboatsuk.com).
