Story
For that last 50 years, Action Cancer, Northern Irelands leading, local cancer charity has been working across the country to help men, women and children affected by cancer. But were not done yet. The charity was founded in 1973 by Dr George Edelstyn and since then it has continued to grow and evolve as the demand for its cancer prevention, detection and support services has increased over the last five decades.
Our mission is to save lives and support local people at risk or impacted by a cancer diagnosis and the services that Action Cancer provide to do this are free to the user but come at a cost to the charity of £4 million every year. These services include an early detection breast screening clinic, early detection skin cancer screening clinic, therapeutic services for people living with a cancer diagnosis as well as people supporting a loved one with a diagnosis and a range of health improvement services.
By supporting this fundraiser you will be helping Action Cancer continue to deliver its vital, life-saving services across Northern Ireland for the next 50 years and beyond.
