Wishes are submitted to Health Stars by staff of the Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust for items, services, etc that are over and above NHS core funding. These wishes can have a positive impact to patients, visitors and staff.

Here are a few examples of wishes we have granted that have had a real positive impact on patients:

Gardening items for a mental health facility used as part of a patient's therapy journey.

Summer house on an allotment that enables service users with skin sensitivities due to their medication to shelter from the sun whilst still enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings.

Items for a sensory / calm room at an inpatient unit, that will allow people a safe space to process their emotions and reflect.

We have many wishes that are waiting to be granted and for that extra sparkle to be added to the patient's care experience.

Wishes are granted with funds raised thought donations, fundraising and grants. Health Stars does not receive funding from the NHS, so we rely on the generosity of our community.
