Story
We regret that due to the death of Her Majesty the Queen we are postponing this event to spring 2023. We will update with more information as soon as we have it.
The Thames Path is an 184-mile footpath that follows the River Thames from its source in the Cotswolds, all the way to the Thames Barrier in southeast London. For one weekend in April 2023, were planning to gather a community of walkers, runners, cyclists and even paddleboarders to cover the whole distance.
If you are unable to attend on the day then take part in our virtual challenge. £17 to sign up (includes a £10 donation to the charity) and tackle as many sections as you like and with milestone postcards along the way you will be transported to the Thames wherever you are.

We also have fundraisers taking on the 184 Challenge, which invites participants to create and complete a challenge based upon the numbers, 1, 8 + 4. The challenge can take place any time from February 1st to September 18th, 2022.
The events are the brainchild of MDUK supporter, Andy Davies, who has limb girdle muscular dystrophy. His original plan was to walk the whole route himself, but as the COVID pandemic and lockdown put a pause on his plans, his condition has deteriorated and hes calling on you to help him bring this community challenge to life.
Click on the Start Fundraising button to set up your page, theres no individual fundraising target, just raise as much as you can to help beat muscle-wasting conditions.
£300 could fund a day of world-class research, bringing forward the day when there are effective treatments for people with muscle-wasting conditions
