Story
Every three minutes in the UK, someone develops dementia and it doesnt just affect the person with the diagnosis. Families often struggle to know where to turn and are left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and alone. Thats why we need you and your tennis club to take on the Dementia UK Tennis-a-thon and help raise vital funds to support more families facing dementia.
Taking part in last year's tennis-a-thon was an amazing experience. It gave me the rare opportunity to represent my relationship with my grandmother through tennis, a sport we both loved when she was well, and afforded us such shared enjoyment over the years. On top of all this, it also allowed me to connect with other tennis players in my local area. I loved being able to get so many people involved with such an important cause - Tim Woodford who took part in Tennis-a-thon 2022
All you need to do is

We are Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, who we continually support and develop, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia - including Alzheimers disease. When you support our charity, you're helping us grow the number of specialist dementia nurses, giving more people affected by dementia the life-changing care that they need.
We help people living with dementia stay independent for longer and support the people caring for them. We help to give them the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days.
With your help, no one will have to face dementia alone.
