Story
At last, #TeamWISHH from 2020 plus a few additions are getting ready to take part in the Hull Run for All on the 12th June 2022!
Our incredible team of runners have signed up to be part of the Hull 10k or Half Marathon.
All the funds raised by our runners will support our By Your Side Appeal, helping us to enhance five new family rooms for parents and carers of the areas sickest babies and children, enabling them to stay close by the side of their child whilst receiving treatment.
Each year, Hull Hospitals provides care for approximately 49,000 babies, children and young people with a variety of health problems, conditions, and other childhood illnesses. They range from those who are critically ill and who stay in the High Dependency Unit for care with cancer, complex needs or other significant disabilities, as well as premature babies cared for within the Neonatal Unit. A number of these babies and children need to stay in hospital for an extended period of time, placing additional pressures on their families.
By supporting #TeamWISHH, you will help make the new rooms along with family breakout areas and play spaces as welcoming and comfortable as possible for families, to include furnishings and distraction items for siblings, making it a home-from home environment, during such challenging times.
The Hull Run for All is now in its 11th year and showcases the very best that Hull has to offer such as The Deep, Humber Dock Marina and Queens Gardens. It has become one of the region's most popular runs.
We hope you'll support our fantastic team and be a part of creating something wonderful for the families of the areas sickest children.
