Story

We have an intrepid group of runners that will be taking on the SuperHalfs in 2020 to raise vital funds for Spinal Research. You can see the team below and read more about why they're running on their individual fundraising pages.

Why do we need support from runners like these?

Research into spinal cord injury is reaching a critical phase and Spinal Research is at a key phase in their work too.

Our work with chondroitinase, an enzyme known for its ability to break down scar tissue and promote regeneration continues grow. We are now funding four projects in this area, to maximise our efforts, and are determined that we will be able to take this exciting potential treatment to the next stage.

However, to move the project to a hospital clinic, more research needs to be undertaken with a larger group of people.

These exciting steps could make all the difference to the lives of thousands of people in the UK and millions worldwide affected by paralysis.

What we need to do is clear, but we rely on funding from generous people like yourself to make it happen.

Together we will change the future of spinal cord injury.
