Story

Cancer hasn't stopped during the pandemic and we haven't either! Cancer patients need our support now more than ever. So a big THANK YOU you to the team of runners taking on the TCS London Marathon on Sunday 2 October 2022 to support our vital cancer research.

The Institute of Cancer Research, London, is one of the world's most influential cancer research institutes, with an outstanding record of achievement dating back more than 100 years. Our donors and supporters play a vital role in helping researchers at the ICR to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.

Like a huge number of people, my family has been repeatedly devastated by cancer. Im running again in memory of my Mum and Nanny. And in thanks for the treatments that have kept my Aunt, Dad and so many people alive. And in solidarity with those I know going through extremely tough times at the moment. This time last year I didn't run at all! It will be another tough summer of training to raise vital funds for this fantastic charity. I am proud to be supporting their amazing work. Susan, London Marathon 2021 runner
