My name is Irene and I'm from Perth. A stroke changed my life forever. One day I was going to cafes and meeting with friends the next I was on the kitchen floor and couldn't move. I was there alone for hours until my daughter found me.

After my stroke I am struggling to walk. I really want to walk to the bus stop and get on a bus again.

A few months ago I got help to go to a café for the first time and ordered soup - I felt so proud.

At the end of the month Hazel from Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland who helped me do that might not be there anymore we need funding to keep her work going.
